If you enjoy reading Poe, or you enjoyed the book Frankenstein, here’s a story that might be for you: Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Rappaccini’s Daughter. The story is about plants, love, and what happens when one loves science too much…It’s a thrilling and quite sad story! You can read the story here.
Hawthorne is an interesting American author from the nineteenth century, who often writes about Puritan history or colonialism. His most famous book is The Scarlet Letter, which came out in 1850 but takes place seventeenth century, dealing with Puritans, witchcraft, and the power of society. You can read the text here.

I love Hawthorne’s stories! I prefer them to Poe since I consider Poe to be a bit melodramatic for my taste.
I think I’ll read this novel. I love both Hawthorne’s and Poe’s stories, and the picture looks so nice. I want to go into the door and see what’s behind ^w^
